Aubrey Corkum

Dance Teacher

Aubrey Corkum started dancing at 3 years of age at Dance Kraze and concurrently at The
University of Hartford, Connecticut. After moving to Florida, she received instruction at
Florida Arts and Dance Company under Mina Hamilton and Samara Shevlin. She performed in
numerous Nutcrackers with lead parts such as Clara and many recital pieces and ballets. She
auditioned for and was accepted into the Joffrey Ballet School, Georgia, where she danced
under Colleen Barnes Merwin and Mitchell Finke.

Concentration on Classical, Vaganova and pointe additionally learning Horton Technique,
Alexander Technique, Jazz, Theatre, Improv and Choreography. While in Georgia she
performed in the Finally piece of Chicago. She also attended Joffrey Cirque du Soleil, Las
Vegas, under the instruction of Tiffany Baker. She also auditioned for and was accepted to
perform with the New York City Rockettes.

Aubrey participated in extensive hours of training to achieve her Dance teaching certification
from the University of Nevada. Currently she still dances, along with pursuing her Luigi Jazz
teaching certificate while attending Harvard for graduate school.
